Sydney – Hong kong – $699 return

Melbourne – Honolulu – $898 return

EXPIRED: Peru from $1207 flying Qantas

Another great deal to South America on the back of the deal to Chile I mentioned here a few days ago. This time its to Lima, Peru with prices starting from $1207 return with travel over May to November 2017 (blackout periods do apply, so it requires a bit of playing around with dates)

Sydney to Lima – $1220 (requires a plane change in Santiago with a 8 hr transit on the way there and a 1 hr transit on the return leg home).

Melbourne to Lima – $1207 (requires plane changes in Sydney and Santiago with the same transit times as mentioned above and a extra hr layover in Sydney both ways).

Flights are on Qantas from Sydney to Santiago (B744) and then on to LATAM from Santiago to Lima (A320) and the same combination back. LATAM is part of the oneworld alliance and flights on them allows you to earn Qantas frequent flyer points.

Keen to make the most of the 8hr layover in Santiago on the way there? Be prepared to pay reciprocity fee to enter the country  ($117 US). From there its a 25 min trip by taxi to downtown Santiago for some exploring.

EXPIRED: Christchurch from $305 return all inclusive

China Airlines flies between Sydney and Christchurch 3 times weekly and right now they have a sweet deal starting from $305 return for travel between 3 February and 26 March 2017.

China Airlines despite its name is actually not from China. Based in Taiwan, it’s a full service airline and is part of the SkyTeam alliance. It flies between Sydney and Christchurch on Sunday, Tuesday and Fridays with the A330-300.

EXPIRED: Beijing return from $247

Now this is just ridiculous. China Eastern has a super cheap price to Beijing from Sydney at $247 return for travel between June and August 2017.

The deal is only from Sydney unfortunately with a layover in Hangzhou for 1 hour on the way there and a layover in Nanjing for an hour on the way home.

China Eastern is a full service airline and this deal is fully inclusive. To book jump on momondo.

EXPIRED: London from Auckland for $1202 NZD

Great fare to London from Auckland return for $1,202 NZD ($1,144 AUD) flying Philippine Airlines between July to November 2017.

Flights leave Auckland to Manila 4 times weekly at 7.15pm with a stop in Cairns for a hour before arrival into Manila at 3.30am (A320). Unfortunately there is a 8hr layover in Manila before your board your flight to London Heathrow (A343), with a final arrival time of 7.35pm.

The return leg is much better with flights departing London at 10pm and arrival into Manila at 7.45pm with a 3hr layover before arriving into Auckland at 3.15pm (again with a 1 hour stop on Cairns).

Transiting in Manila is not a nice experience. So I would recommend (especially with a 8hr layover on the way there) you stretch your legs and leave the airport and head to the mall of asia which is 1 hour away by taxi. Australia and NZ nationals get a free 30 day tourist visa if you wish to enter the Philippines.

EXPIRED: Stockholm from $995 flying Thai

Yesterday I posted a great deal with Thai to Copenhagen which you can find here. Now this has been extended to Stockholm as well. Details are as follows –

Sydney to Stockholm – $1008 (via Bangkok with a 2hr layover both on the outbound and return leg*)

*To get these minimal layover times select TG 472 (B744) that departs Sydney at 4pm and on the way home select TG 471 (B744) which arrives into Sydney at 8pm. Note Thai has 2 departures on most days between Sydney and Bangkok

Melbourne to Stockholm – $995 (via Bangkok with a 3hr layover on the outbound leg and 2hr layover on the way home*)

*Again select TG 961 (B773) that departs Melbourne at 3:15pm and then TG 461 (B772) that arrives into Melbourne at 8pm. Note Thai has 2 departures daily between Melbourne and Bangkok.

As long you hold a boarding pass to your final destination, transiting in Bangkok is very easy and 2 hrs is ample time to make your next flight.

Please note that Ethiopian only flies between Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. While Royal Jordanian flies on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
